Reports to:      Sr. Director of Brand Services

General Purpose:

Specific Responsibilities:

Social Media //

  • Develop and deploy social and online content that reflects 21c purpose and values media, including engagement, tagging, replying, etc.
  • Attend and manage regular social planning meetings with Sales & Marketing, Museum, and F&B teams. Present planned weekly social calendar to Brand Content Manager.
  • Work with property senior leadership to grow engagement and revenue through the Porter & Sail portal.

Marketing //

  • Collaborate with Brand Services team to develop strategies that cover all business platforms, including museum, hotel and F&B. Assure strategies are executed to the full potential and support brand positioning strategies.  
  • Lead property quarterly calendar development
  • Utilize data, that of your own and provided from corporate office, to shape strategic direction
  • Manage property level email marketing campaigns
  • Assist with development of property level assets (including photography and video) as needed
  • Assist in maintaining digital asset management tool

Community Engagement //

  • When needed, assist Museum Manager and Property Leadership in cultivating strong relationships with like-minded partners within the community to create programming and cross-promotional strategies.
  • Be present at property and community events

Public Relations:

  • Step in for Local PR& Influencer Manager as necessary regarding property level media inquiries, event publicity, promotions and announcement.

Meetings:

  • Participate in weekly Brand Services Team meetings
  • Attend regular meetings on property with Museum, Sales, F&B, Events, etc as appropriate to ensure you're well informed on all property happenings.
  • Attend bi-annual brand team meetings

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • A passion for community, contemporary art, travel, and F&B.
  • Experience in a Museum, gallery, or cultural institution strongly preferred.
  • Extraordinary communicator, enthusiastic storyteller, exceptional writing skills and visual aesthetic.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills / metrics driven.
  • Strong planning and project management competencies.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with guests, team members, external business partners and third party vendors.
  • Business oriented and consumer driven.
  • Ability to act as ambassador of 21c Museum Hotels and related brands and demonstrate confidence in his/her knowledge of the history, brand values, vision, and direction.
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Experience working within Wordpress strongly preferred
  • Interest in / Working knowledge of advancements in technology and best practices related to website, digital marketing, and social media.
  • Proactive, Flexible, Curious, Positive Attitude, Team Player.
  • Ability to travel when necessary.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 1 to 2 years related experience in marketing or social media
