Title:   IT Systems Administrator

Reports to:     Corporate Director of IT

Supervises:    NA

General Purpose: Committed to excellent customer service to teammates while supporting 21c's various computer systems. Responsible for maintaining and improving all hotel systems that affect operations in a region, through fostering good relationships with the associates of various departments and properties.  Should have a working knowledge of the various departments and hotels and making recommendations that will effect positive change in the way they use the systems, increase their knowledge of what is possible and thus enable a more productive work environment. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and performance needs. Thorough and task oriented individual who can complete menial as well as substantial tasks under various conditions.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Add, remove or update user account information, resets passwords, and handles day-to-day tasks relating to network and email accounts
  • Assist IT Director in planning, purchasing and implementation of hardware and software.
  • Work with teammates to resolve server, client, operating system, software and networking issues.
  • In depth working knowledge of operational systems
  • Proactively seek solutions to potential future problems
  • Ability to assist others gain results through the better use of existing systems
  • Meet with hotel management on a regular basis to get and give feedback on current and future projects and support needed.
  • Support the existing and new hotel systems including POS, PMS, Sales & Catering and other existing hotel and distributed corporate systems.
  • Develop cost effective solutions for issues as they arise
  • Create documentation for all systems and procedures
  • Exhibit a positive personality with a can do attitude

  • Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays when necessary.
  • Some travel may be required

 

Qualifications:

  • Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy experience
  • PMS and POS support experience
  • Experience maintaining complex network
  • Experience developing and implementing IT infrastructure strategies, policies and standards
  • Hotel/hospitality experience

 

Education / Experience:

  • Six or more years' experience with system administration in a Windows environment

Bachelor (4-year) degree or equivalent, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science, preferred
